Great piece on Katz's Deli. You forgot, however, to mention that their turkey is tha absolute best anywhere. They cook the turkey from scratch in a baking bag filled woth turkey broth. The result is a moist and extremely tasty turkey.

JUST RECEIVED THIS GREAT E-MAIL ABOUT KATZ'S DELI.
MY FATHER AND HIS BROTHER DELIVERED DR. BROWNS SODA TO KATZ'S DELI AND ALL THE DELI'S FROM GRAND STREET TO 57TH STREET SINCE THE 1940'S. I REMEMBER WORKING ON THE SODA TRUCK IN THE SUMMERS WITH MY COUSINS. KATZ'S WAS ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE STOPS. MY FATHER WOULD GO OVER THE BILL WITH IZZY TAROWSKY ONE OF THE OWNERS WHILE I WOULD HAVE AN OVERSTUFFED CORN BEEF SANDWICH WITH A DR. BROWNS BLACK CHERRY SODA AND FRENCH FRIES.
LATER WE WOULD GO TO THE ORIGINAL AUSTERS FOR AN EGG CREAM ON SECOND AVENUE.
IT WAS A GREAT TIME
