Save the Knish…er, kinda

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I’ll buy that, but I’ll do one better and say that satire is adding on a whole other level to the flattery. Now, I don’t know whether the site Save the Knish came after Save the Deli, but I do know the following is freaking genius:
STOP THE SLAUGHTER!!!!
For too many years the Knish has been raised merely to be ground into filling for a pastry common to Jewish and Pagan eateries. This poor unobtrusive rodent feeds on seeds and is harmless to crops and habitats. Due to slow breeding the Knish is much less invasive than a hamster. If people were grinding hamsters up and eating them there would be outrage, but these very similar creatures are being ground up and served every day behind the veil of religious tolerance. We ask that you please print out the PDF poster below and place it at all Jewish Delicatessens, Grocery Stores, and ethnic restaurants that serve the Knish to let them know that we will no longer stand for the senseless slaughter of the these defenseless and helpless creatures.

WE MUST TAKE A STAND TO PROTECT THESE CREATURES FROM IN HUMANE DEATH, SAVE THE KNISH!
Just to clarify, knishes aren’t actually made from little cute animals. They’re made from potato, spinach, kasha, and other fillings that no one would hold as a pet…except perhaps the beef knish…that’s debatable.

that is friggin hilarious. I simply can’t wait for some hate monger to bring this up as a reason to hate on Jews, that would simply be the pinnacle of humor for me. I am going to break out the D-CON, turn on the oven, and get ready for some Knish making.

There is a book written in a similar vein to this - but dealing with haggis.
