Free Preview Lunch at Stanley’s in Indianapolis
It always gives me great pleasure to announce new delis opening, and Greg Abes has been more than enthusiastic about Stanley’s New York Deli over the past few months. With meats from Sy Ginsberg, and a whole lot of chutzpah, the young man from Indianapolis is ready to venture into the big bad world of deli owners. And as a boon to all you Save the Deli faithful, he’s letting you in on a free preview lunch next Weds, February 25th, if you happen to be in the area from 11 am to 1pm.

I am curious if u hired people in the neightborhood that were looking for positions? My former foster son who graduated from HS last spring has been looking for work since. He gave u an application about 1-2 months ago and came back and was told all positions were filled. No ads online? If u need one more person, please contact me.

Well, was looking forward to opening of Stanleys. Saw it was opening yesterday, Sat., Feb 28. Went there and was told it would be an hour wait. An hour?? For a sandwich? This deli would fail a true NY deli test. Why an hour wait for a sandwich? You only have one person back there making them? Might try again for the “official” grand opening in March, but if I walk in again and there’s an hour wait, that will be the last try.

Everyone is talking….but not raving…hope they get their groove early, because from what I am hearing it is far from a NY Deli…..get the quality, and you will do fine….but not a value place by any means…portions small, sides small, bill…BIG
