					<description>David

Now that you've had your food orgasm at Kenny &#38; Zuke's, let me tell you that I'm really pissed off that you beat me there. I live just a few hundred miles away, and haven't been to K&#38;Z yet. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as they say.

Portland is too far from my house for a day trip, and as my wife has been ill we haven't been able to go for an overnighter.

All the food photos look great! I've been salivating for the past half hour!

I will try to get there soon, however. The state of Washington is a deli wasteland. See reports of the three Seattle area delis on my website www.thecowlesreport.com.

I'm still writing my cookbook for making deli food at home. I finally perfected the rye bread, after trying dozens of different recipes over the past three years that had great flavor, but were too dense and crumbly.

I'll stack my homemade pastrami up against any pastrami in the country. Have you had a chance to try the pastrami kit I sent you yet?

Put me down for the first copy of your book--autographed, of course!
