The solution to saving the delis is so patently obvious that I’m amazed you haven’t thought of it before, David.

We know that President Obama enjoys deli food. You even featured this fact on your website.

All we need is a governmental bailout for delis everywhere, and incentives such as low-cost loans for starting new delis in deli wastelands.

Buffalo’s best “real” deli may be down the Thruway 70 miles at Fox’s in Rochester. Its a lamenting thought..but the Jewish population in B-lo is really shrinking. Hopefully the kids at SUNY and what remains of the Buffalo community can keep a good deli going. I went to Mastmans on my last trip out to Buffalo…a true deli man like yourself would be pretty meh about the place. The new owners are really nice and the signage remains..but thats about it. The Nosh on Transit may be the only “real” Jewish deli left in the Niagara Frontier.
