I'm certainly in favor of more delis.

I've never tried Artie's, but I remember being annoyed that their menu (which I perused from the sidewalk) confused lox and nova. Maybe Mr. Feldman will fix that.

I attempted to go to Arties on a Sunday morning when I was visiting NYC(I am a transplanted New Yorker who grew up on the Upper West Side. They said they did'nt open until 9:00AM That was a bummer. We eat early.

I heard Artie's is way underrated. Might get there at the end of January when I go East.

Maybe the new owners will know what kasha is....although maybe that's just a kosher deli item and a Reuben sandwich certainly isn't kosher

When visiting New York we usually stay on the Upper West Side and have eaten at Artie's often. Their flanken barley soup is outstanding - enough for two adults. Their pastrami sandiwches are excellent as well. Their waiters are not as rude as could be expected, but they are accommodating.
